    Hello,

I am a college student and I am in my last class and my task for the group is to get the linux server to be able to communicate with our windows server. I am using CentOS 6.3 and while I don't really need help with commands, I am more in need of a step by step on what to install first....i.e.(Samba, LDAP, etc.) Any help in this situation would be greatly appreciated oh yeah I am running the servers in VMWare Workstation 8.0. Thanks again.

What specifically do you need the Linux server to communicate? If it's authentication, check out Likewise (the free version). If it's for file sharing, check out Samba. You'll have to be a little more specific on what your end goal is.
