GRUB not showing Windows

I am new to Linux and recently installed Debian on my machine. It's a simple version without a GUI.

I already had Windows 7 installed and I partitioned the hard drive to create a space for the new OS.

However I must have made a mistake during the install process, as I can't select Windows anymore in the GRUB boot up.

I need to know how to verify whether or not Windows still exists on the machine using only Linux command line codes.

My hope is that Windows still exists but the computer just can't find the right path, if that's the case then I need to figure out how to fix the GRUB.

Worst case scenario I over wrote my old OS and deleted all my files and will have to reinstall Windows 7.

Can anyone help?
