Hi all, I'm a total newbie as far as Linux is concerned. I haven't installed Linux yet, still trying to work out which version would be best for me. I've decided to change to Linux as I am so fed up with the corporate greed and general condescension of Microsoft! I'm also looking for a good equivalent of Office if anyone has any suggestions. :D

    Hi, Tanya, and welcome!
It would help to know about your hardware -- model number, at least -- before making any recommendation.

    Linux Systems

    Hi,
Every linux system can solve your system. Fedora and ubuntu are the best as far as home as well as office use is concern. But there is only one issue with all these linux version that they dont have that strong and user friendly office like microsoft have. But google docs is the solution to this. U can try fedora 17. Its good stable version.
