I have this problem on my Linux computer that when I insert some USB s like pen drives they always work but when I insert my camera's USB and some others doesn't .
Do you think it could be because of the Linux?
Maybe I need to get some USB program.
PLEASEE HELP MEE I NEED TO TRANSFER MY PICS BACK!!!

1) What is your camera? Make and Model?

2) Have you tried a Card Reader?

3) Normally things will mount automatically but I find that sometimes I need to open a File Manager

My camera's card is too small to fit in the computer. The model is SONY DSC-W55

Step 1- connect your camera with the original usb cable, from camera to computer.

Step 2 - click the menu button on the camera, click usb connect and select mass media storage option.

A Card reader is a little box, which has slots for various cards and connects to your computer by USB. It is not normally an integral part of your computer, though it can be.

Linux cannot read certain camera's or Linux at least has weird issues. Arochester is right, a card reader is your best choice.
