    Unfortunately, I cannot answer your question, but I want to see an answer, so I will share this on Google+ and see if I can find someone that can answer this.

    True, that would explain issues, but should this source code still be able to be compiled?

    From what I am seeing on my Google+ account and from what Arochester said, the source code is old and/or has bugs in it. I am not familiar with the program, so I would suggest finding a newer version or an alternative. Unfortunately, I cannot offer a good answer myself that would fix the issue.

    Thank you for your advice, ryanvade.
    At first, I want tto use this tool that view Scanning Laser Range Finder's data, and just found this old tools yesterday(My bad), now I have found the new tool http://sourceforge.net/projects/urgnetwork/files/Urg_Viewer/. I can still work on linux, wow, cool!
