Do you know about an optimizational linux program?

    Hello everyone ,
    I am new to Linux and would like to know if there are available speed up optimizing programs for the whole computer ? Thank you!

    Speed optimization? Linux is always optimized. But, Bleachbit to clean out files. Building your own kernel to speed up boot time and responsiveness.

    There are several things that you can do to tune a system. Problem is that you need to tune it for your use case. There are some generic tunings that can typically be applied, but they are a YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary) kinds of settings.

    I forgot about preload. Trade off there though. Speed up program start up but also use more ram...

    How about CPU scaling? Swapiness? Desktop Effects?
