I was trying to add my usb media to the fstab so that I can access it anything and can also mount the iso files in there. I think adding it to the fstab should be convenient but when I try to find out its UUID by executing blkid command, it prompt no result. I waited for about an hour but still it displays nothing untill I just kill it by control -c.

what could be the issue in this please?

    here's what happen.

I ran into the same issue earlier this month when a script that used to work failed because of the blkid did not work. However, now it is working. There may have been a bug fix in the last three weeks that made the difference. I would suggest you make sure your system is up to date via the following:

    sudo apt-get update -y
    sudo apt-get upgrade -y
    sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -y

Hopefully, that will give you the functionality you need.
