well as of 6/3/2015 I can't find a distro that supports 2560x1080 without changing to much stuff
anyone know of one?

I find myself using Window$ again, because Linux wont support Ultra widescreen (at least not mine)

I have an LG 29" 21:9 monitor and it works great in Window$ at 2560 x 1080
my 27" widescreen works great in Both at 1920 x 1080

I use Ubuntu, it is easy, make a DVD of (your choice), open the drive after you finalize it > when the disc starts to auto play it will allow you...
