    I do not know Java, but I can answer questions. The best way would be to have Java execute the shell command "lshw". This lists the detected hardware, but requires root privileges.

    I know a lot about Python3 (not python2). However, there are some areas in Python3 I could know better. As for Java, all I know is it is a slow cross-platform language (^u^). All of my programs are written in BASH or Python3. I should be able to assist you with Python3.

    The subprocess module is the best. Try
    import subprocess
    JOB = subprocess.getoutput('SHELL COMMAND')

    The JOB variable will allow you to see the output if any. You will then type the shell command in place of SHELL COMMAND.
