After MANY MANY years working with computers, starting with A TI-99/4A through dual-socket 6-core opties, I'm finally breaking down and going to give this linux thing a try. The breaking point came recently when I rescued a Sun Cobalt Qube 3. Long story short, I'm looking to "pimp out" as much as reasonably possible, while keeping the main-board original. I plan to make a thread regarding what I want to do with it elsewhere on this forum. Hopefully I can put it to good use and learn linux at the same time, because I grew up with DOS and command line, but for some reason it doesn't seem to transfer over as much as I had hoped.

So if your interests include "vintage" hardware and keeping it running, we will defiantly get along. ^.^

Welcome to our Community I love old hardware to many goodtimes playing with pentiums, p2's and p4's and even the old Xt's 286's etc.

REPRESENT!!! I have maybe 10-15 machines in the pre-pentium age, several of which are macintosh. Thats why I want to isolate them from the internet with this router.
