Just wondering where could I find Linux elearning like the microsoft virtual academy?

There are tons of linux learning resources out there. A simple google search will help you out in this regard. For personal recommendations, tell us what you're looking to do with Linux. Desktop use, server use, coding, embedding into hardware, etc.

I am trying to become a Linux administrator and would like to know which distro should I start out with and learn from.

And is there free e-learning tutorial?.

I use a version of Linux Virtual Academy. Just login to Linux and have this site open in another window.

You can try True Ability Self Assess modules on bit.ly/TAselfassess, and get hands-on with some helpful modules to tackle real problems.
