Hello every one

hello every one, i love dis place,because dis is a one stop thing for a newbie to a geek.I'm an under graduate from india.I use different linux distros and try them around for a while.I know basics about linux.I just want to master atleast one linux distro.

Welcome! Which distro do you like using that you've tried out so far?

Aloha and welcome to Linux.org! Many users prefer Ubuntu. Ubuntu is powerful but yet easy to use. Some other good distros include Slackware and Fedora.

Welcome to the site. I'd love to hear some reviews of the different distros that you've tried.

i go for Fedora or Debian

Primit1v3 i've used so far many distros....i would now give a one word description about them
1 Ubuntu:- which is a good thing for thos who dont now anything about linx

2 Pear: Good for migrants from mac

3 Fuduntu: Good for thos e who love Asthetic gui

4 Opensuse: Good for those people who love Developing activities

5 Zorin Another good linux distro for noobs

6 Fedora Good distro for networking purpose

7 Debian : now i'm using dis....I think it would be a all-in one distro which supports various needs of d users if configured properly

8 Mandrake or Mandriva: Best suited for those who like entertainment and those who need basic os to satisfy a normal users home needs

Nice to see someone else who used Fuduntu. I liked that distro a lot before it was EOLed. They should have adopted a better name since the distro was Fedora-based rather than Ubuntu-based I think the name was its biggest drawback.

Apparently a lot of the developers are working on Cloverleaf Linux now, which I'll be interested to try when its stable.

I think that the name was given to symbolize that it's workable like fedora and gui is as good as ubuntu
