i want to download the fedora 19 iso from the internet. the last time i used a torrent software, it took me about a week. i am wondering if ssh would be easier and less time costly? as it is, torrent is fat than http download where i live, but as for ssh, can anyone tell me?
thanks

It's can be a trade off. A simple download can be quicker but if it is interrupted it totally breaks. A torrent is slower but it can be stopped and restarted at another time without breaking.

If downloading is slow can you buy or borrow a ready-made disk?

surely. i believe it goes for something like $10. i come from lagos, nigeria.

You may want to try wget it has a number of options for automatically resuming partial downloads if the connection gets interrupted. I believe -c is the option. You can also schedule downloads to occur at specific times, specify mirrors, and a whole bunch of other options.
