I know about nohup & to run a job in background. But there's a feature in Midnight Commander which you can start a large folder/file copy in background. What happens if I quit Midnight Commander, will that copy job still be running in background?
Also, if I ran nohup mc &
to run Midnight Commander with no hang up, how can I put it in background and foreground? What if I quit my terminal session then ssh log back in again, how can I get that same Midnight Commander process into foreground?
