This is a comment on news story: France's gendarmerie switches to Linux
It's a reply to comment:

Where are all the people saying:

1. It is incompatible with the existing software infrastructure - they will not be able to communicate with any other departments.

2. It is impossible to do because so many of their specialized tools will not run in Linux.

3. It is unsupported.

4. The TCO is much higher than with WinDos.

I'm sure there are many more ... or is even Microsoft afraid to tell the French what to do? Vive la France! Now when other people start to do the same, we might see programs like Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop on Linux.
