You guys are right, X-Window system been around a long time, probably since 1986 or 1987. Looks like X-windows will have a prior art advantage on MS windows. However there is one feature MS windows did create firts, ( The BSOD ). I don't know if they have a patent on it, but I haven't noticed any other OS infringing on it. If MS has not pattened the BSOD yet, may be one of us should, then anytime a MS system BSOD's we can claim patent infringment:)
