This is a comment on news story: Microsoft and open-source backers: best 'frenemies' forever?
It's a reply to comment:

Mmmm... hearsay journalism ... by: pinniped
The author could be reading from the "Microsoft book of daily FUD" or something like that. The unsubstantiated claims are simply laughable - for example:

" ... caused a sudden refrosting of what had been a slowly thawing relationship between the company and the open-source community. "

Huh? When did open source people ever care about MS? I guess you have the odd pro-MS ones like Miguel deIcaza.

" Over the past several years, Microsoft -- whose combative CEO once called Linux a "cancer" from an intellectual property standpoint -- has set up its own open-source testing lab, begun hosting open-source projects for free on its CodePlex Web site ... "

Microsoft hosts "open-source" projects? Aaaahahahahahaha. Well I guess they can claim to now that the OSD has given MS the nod. At any rate, does MS share any significant or otherwise interesting code?
