| Open Source NOT on trial? |
by: Stoobie |
Time to start backpedaling already? Sorry, I'm not buying it.
I have been happily running and promoting 100% Open Source software since 2003, and I've always wondered how long it would take the greedy IP parasites to crawl out from under their rocks and try to suck the life out of it. They can deny their collusions all they want, but their ambitions are clearly the same. FUD is FUD no matter how they spin it. |

I see flying pigs!
In other news, Bill Gates has made all Microsoft products 'open source' and donated all stock holdings in MSFT to the Somalians.
What we see is a patent troll making a very bad move and thinking that RedHat will be on its own in defending against the troll's claims. Surely IBM and others are next on the list if the troll wins a case. Funny the troll should be so scared if it believes it has a substantial case.

| First patent lawsuit? |

Wasn't there a patent lawsuit against RedHat in early 2006?

| It is not about open source... |

| OS2 ? |
by: Sparhawk |
| OS/2 Would fall under that description and that would be prior art to use in the fight against these patent trolls. |
|
| Of course it's not about open source... |

| Why aren't they going after Nvidia? Their drivers allow you to implement the same thing under Windows, plus the amount they could get off them would be bigger than what any Linux developer could offer. |
