| It's the workplace systems that really dictate what is bought. Think back to when computers first started. They didn't start in people's homes then moved into the workplace, it was the other way around. If a worker uses windows for eight hours a day at work and knows how to get around the OS, why would anyone expect that person to use Linux or Mac at home? MACs are mostly used by graphic artists who also use MACs at home because that is what they use in the office. Win over the workplace and the hardware vendors will follow quickly. It is a matter of economics - home users don't buy new systems every three years in the same volume as companies do. Forget the home user - focus on the workstation. Oh - and also on the gamerz as they push the hardware. ;) |
