FUD by any other name would smell just as bad... by: pinniped 
I have been hearing this from M$ for months now: "We're reaching out to Open Source and working towards interoperability".

1. It's yet another face to FUD. See, we're the good guys but those Open Source Zealots are making it very difficult for software to work together.
2. The bit about M$ working toward interoperability is an out-and-out lie. The truth is they are putting more effort than ever into ensuring that software developed for WinDos will not:
a. run on future platforms with Digital Rape Management
b. run within a 'hosted' environment. But - but - but - they have their own virtualization software which DOES allow you to run Linux in a hosted environment! Oh yeah? Go ahead - buy it and learn the hard way.
