Consistently Slow SuSE Tools by: CMonster3 
Continuous SuSE Linux user since 7.0 -I love it- but as each iteration brought improvement SuSE (e.g.YaST) tools actually seem to get slower.

"In my experience, and those of many others, the new package manager is extremely slow and often breaks."

That's nothing new, where even the tiniest of updates in SuSE Linux requires waiting through the "Updating Linker Cache - This May take a Few Minutes" Ha! Might as well be rebooting the machine and updating the system registry.
