This is a comment on news story: How Dell repels attempts to buy its 'open source' PC

Aside from the questionable pricing of the n-series boxes, I have one serious question: If Dell expects its customers to use FreeDOS, what will the buyer do with 1 GB of RAM? There are GUI's that run on FreeDOS (of course), but they can't possibly overwork the system that much. I love FreeDOS for use in the DOSemu and other emus, but I can't imagine anyone using it as a primary OS.
