I think it is a good idea to put linux desktops in schools.
It will give students a chance to see linux can be just as easy to use as windows.
Also it will show that linux is more stable, and a lot more flexable.
I take my laptop to work with me on saturdays to let people see all the applications I have, When I tell them how much I paid for my distro they can't belive it.
A couple of people have let me install it on thier system to duel boot with windows, and they like it better.
Anyway back to the point, I think that is the best way for linux to get better known. hopefully soon it will be in the other 49 states as well.
