Funny that --- by: Ptah
We operate a computer store in southeastern Ohio. We sell "Linux only" used systems, with support, to many of our clients who cannot afford a new computer. These folks do not install pirated versions of Windows later on, we know because we support their Linux boxes. Most of these customers LIKE Linux. So we would have to say, that in our little piece of the U.S. the Linux market is growing rapidly! This is our survey: Of 140 boxes sold in the last 12 months, 137 sold with a free version of Linux, 2 sold with expensive Windows XP, one Mac (OS 9.1). Did someone forget to ask us about our sales when they conducted the survey? How about thousands of other independant computer stores in the U. S. ?????? G.
