The sources are freely available on www.gnome.org with install guides. Heck, it'd be best if someone built GNOME on Slack then released binaries for it. Actually, I'd like to see GNOME do what KDE does: have a page with a list of all unofficial binaries submitted to them. That way, you can just download the binaries and not worry about compile errors (which happen).
