I like using GUI cause its faster in my case and if I wasnt such a curious geek I'd only use gui.
There will always be the "hobby" aspect of Linux, considering that more and more ppl are educated in computers these days. That means theres more people coding and making cool things that the average consumer doesnt find interest in.
It is kinda sad that all the cattle are going to stampede onto "our" pasture soon.
The same thing will happen to WRC Rally Racing...U know Small cars going really fast on dirt roads. As soon as it becomes popular in the USA its gonna have it SOUL sucked out and make money while getting put in a stadium so Joe-Bob can get beer served to him while sitting in a comfy seat.
Well to sum it up, I like the nitty gritty but not all the time. I dont want the nitty gritty to go away and I will do my part to make sure that doesnt happen. I will also do my part to turn "normal" people on to GNU/Linux. =D
