No linux on the desktop?! by: Ptah
I would hope that this fellow can someday open his mind to alternatives that are better than MS. I am the President of a non profit organization that cannot afford MS and their office suites. While we used an MS network (for many years) we were constantly exposed to virus attacks and constant crashes and loss of data. I cannot see how that can be good business for a company to constantly loose data and have huge downtimes caused by software failure. Not only is our network now run by a Linux system (Red Hat on our server), but we have recently installed Xandros OS2 on all of our workstations. We also use Mandrake on our laptops and all of these systems integrate wonderfully with little effort. All of our personell (including an 86 year old) have been able to quickly adapt to Linux and everyone is very glad of our choice to switch. Ready for the desktop? Most certainly!

G.
