The VectorLinux project announced a version 6.0 final release of its speedy Slackware-based distribution. Code named "Voyager," VectroLinux 6.0 adds a stable GUI installer, localization and wireless support, numerous new and updated drivers, and a repository with over 1,000 packages, says the Canada-based project. Based on Slackerware 12 and Linux Kernel 2.6.27.12, the freely downloadable VectorLinux 6.0 is positioned as a small, fast, Linux operating system for x86-based PCs.
