Windows is everywhere, but there are options

Standardization may be good when it comes to supplying software and services, but the lack of any competing systems makes Windows a security nightmare since a single successful virus could destroy or mangle most of the world's computers. However, there is a free alternative that looks much like Windows but runs well on both old and new computers, has tons of free software with it, and is immune to most viruses. It's called Linux.
