Microsoft Faces New Browser Foe in Google, Sep 02, 2008

On Tuesday, Google will release a free Web browser called Chrome that the company said would challenge Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, as well as the Firefox browser.

The 451 Group has issued a report that shows that companies are beginning to pick up something serious Linux users have known since day one: You don't have to buy Linux to use it.

Intel has bought up OpenedHand, the UK-based Linux development company, folding its product line into the chip behemoth's mobile Linux effort, while promising to maintain its open-source developments.

IF YOU BUY one of those nifty Linux preloaded notebooks from the likes of Dell, Asus, or Lenovo, the default web browser will always be Firefox.
