500 professionals trained in open-source software

The information ministry has trained more than 500 professionals in four major open-source applications under a programme launched to reduce software piracy in the country.

The term ‘open-source’ is most commonly applied to the source code of software that is made available to the general public with either relaxed or non-existent intellectual property restrictions.
