Linus and Andy together again: Day three at Linux.conf.au, Jan 19, 2007

Linux.conf.au (LCA) 2007 continued Wednesday with a keynote by Dr. Andrew S. Tanenbaum, a full day of talks and tutorials, and a cameo appearance by Linus Torvalds.

SageTV previously favored Gentoo users.

Yoggie Security Systems is now shipping its credit-card-sized, Linux-based security device for mobile and remote workers.

Alan Cox, one of the leading Linux kernel developers, has told a U.K. House of Lords hearing that neither open nor closed source developers should be liable for the security of the code they write.

No matter how much spin is put on this launch, it's a disaster. There's simply no excitement about it.
