Auctioneer Bonhams opts for Linux, Mar 27, 2006

Bonhams was interested in the scalability and stability of Linux. Based on a positive previous experience with IBM Intel-processor-based servers and the deep IBM commitment to Linux, Bonhams selected an IBM xSeries solution running Linux.

Microsoft employees writing to an anonymous blog are calling for the heads of high-level company executives -- including Steve Ballmer and Jim Allchin -- after the double delay debacle this week when the Redmond, Wash. developer shoved its two most profitable products into 2007.

Novell has introduced its first workgroup suite running on Linux. The Novell Open Workgroup Suite includes server and desktop components with management tools, e-mail and collaboration, office products.
