Judge's Ruling Bolsters Novell Suit Against Microsoft

Novell can pursue its claims that Microsoft in order to protect its own software interests, tried to undermine and damage Novell's ability to market its WordPerfect and Quattro Pro spreadsheet programs, a Baltimore judge ruled last week.

U.S. District Court Judge J. Frederick Motz, however, dismissed four other antitrust claims against Microsoft, the world's largest computer software company, after determining that Novell waited too long to raise them.
