| Loss of an Open Source Hero |
|---|
It was brought to my attention this evening that Libranet founder/president/visionary Jon Danzig has passed away and it is with a heavy heart that I bring you this news tonight. Though the details surrounding his death have so far not surfaced, I do know that Jon has been sick for quite some time now... from what? A mystery to me. Sometime on the morning of June 1, 2005 Jon passed away, leaving behind a community of dedicated followers, who now find themselves mourning the loss of a great man. Their noble leader is no more... maybe not in flesh and bone, but he will always be with us in our memories. Libranet Linux will stand as a testament to one mans drive and ambition to do his part to help give us back what we so dearly needed: our freedom.
