| Red Hat expects more subscribers |

Red Hat Inc, a leading provider of open source solutions for enterprises, expects more Malaysian companies to subscribe to its service with the launch of Red Hat Enterprise Linux Version 4.
Red Hat Asia-Pacific Pte Ltd vice-president Steve McWhirter said that while the Red Hat Linux operating system was open source and could therefore be downloaded free of charge over the Internet initially, the continual or commercial use of it had to be on a subscriber basis.
