Back in the late ‘90s when the war over operating systems — read Windows vs Linux — was raging hot, a bored analyst is said to have quipped: “It’s not the OS, silly! It’s the MS Office.”

Almost a decade later, the whole-worldwide-web of Linux is yet to come up with a charming challenger for MS Office. So, despite the professed advantages of an open-source platform, Linux still sounds penguin for household and SME computing. And chances are that Punjab won’t be too much of an exception.
