The KDE Foundation last week rolled out the newest version of its open source desktop environment, KDE 3.4, with improvements in disabled accessibility top on the list.

KDE 3.4 can be downloaded for free from the foundation's website in versions for Connectiva, Red Hat, and SuSE distributions of Linux. It features major text-to-speech enhancements, as well as new tools for the sight-impaired and even for people who have trouble using a mouse due to repetitive stress injuries.
