Unix vendor SCO Group Inc has filed a motion seeking to compel the deposition of IBM Corp chairman and CEO, Sam Palmisano, in its long-running contract infringement battle with the technology giant.

IBM has so far refused requests for Palmisano to be available for deposition, according to SCO's memorandum in support of its filing, as IBM does not believe he has any knowledge regarding specific issues related to SCO's claim that IBM breached a contract by contributing Unix code to the Linux operating system.
