Who’s afraid of Linux? Not Ballmer

Microsoft is all set to compete with Linux for the various e-governance projects at the Centre and state level in India. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, who was in the Capital on Tuesday, told reporters: “We have great competitors in absolutely everything that we do. We are going to compete. We also have lot of goals which are independent of that competition,” Mr Ballmer said. Mr Ballmer was replying to a media question on how Microsoft would tackle the Linux threat.
