Despite what TechWorld, InfoWorld, Groklaw, and other IT news outlets reported or implied yesterday and today, The SCO Group said it still plans to post a new Web site that tells the company's side of the story of its breach-of-contract lawsuits against IBM, Novell, and other companies.

SCO had announced on October 13 that it would open a new site on November 1 called Prosco.net. That name has now been dropped in favor of SCOinfo. com, but no date has been given as to when it will go live. The site ostensibly is intended to deflect negative publicity about the company's Unix vs. Linux lawsuits in such publications as Groklaw and others.
