Linux based ChessBrain project to attempt Guiness World Record

The ChessBrain project announced today that the non-profit Distributed Computing Foundation has become the official organizer for ChessBrain's world record attempt which is scheduled to take place on January 30th at the NordU USENIX 2004 conference in Copenhagen, Denmark. In addition the Distributed Computing Foundation will oversee the public open source release of the ChessBrain source code.

The ChessBrain project has been a non-profit project which has never accepted monetary contributions during its three year history. The Distributed Computing Foundation will support ChessBrain and other distributed computing projects through fundraising.
