Linux is a wonderful operating system, but that doesn't mean that Linux and its tools are perfect. Most Linux users, whether new or seasoned veterans, have annoying experiences along the way to enlightenment.

There's that piece of hardware that it took you two weeks to get working properly, or that legacy file that you needed to edit ... and had to spend several days finding a program that could handle it. These are the problems that, when you finally solve them, it's all you can do not to call everyone you know and tell them all about it. These are the problems that drive you so batty that you sometimes just give up and find a workaround, or even decide that you didn't really want to do that anyway.
