Webmaster's note: The title really doesn't do justice to the enormous contribution that the people at Knoppix have made to the Linux community. Despite the title, the article is quite good.
Neither is Knoppix one of the many minimalist Linux distributions that fit on a floppy disk. This is a fully-fledged operating system with a full graphical user interface that puts Windows to shame in many respects, plus a bundled office suite from OpenOffice.org, and lots of other utilities.
Linux frenzy sweeps Oracle user conference, May 09, 2003
Linux was the talk of the Oracle database user conference in the US last week, with firms looking at evaluating or moving corporate applications with database servers to run on the open source operating system.
Red Hat and Fujitsu in Linux partnership, May 09, 2003
Fujitsu on Thursday said it has signed an agreement with Red Hat under which the companies plan to jointly develop and market Red Hat's Linux for Fujitsu's Intel-based computers.
