Linus Torvalds: DRM is Perfectly OK with Linux, Apr 25, 2003
Ok, there's no way to do this gracefully, so I won't even try. I'm going to just hunker down for some really impressive extended flaming, and my asbestos underwear is firmly in place, and extremely uncomfortable.
I want to make it clear that DRM is perfectly ok with Linux!
KDE announces preview release for KOffice 1.3, Apr 25, 2003
The KDE Project today announced the immediate release of KOffice 1.3beta1, the first preview release for KOffice 1.3, scheduled for release this September. KOffice is an integrated office suite for KDE which utilizes free and open standards for its document formats, component communication and component embedding. This release is principally a public testing and developer solicitation release (more help is welcome!).

The Linux world in some sense is a lot like the Unix world. There is not much communality. There is this distribution; there is that distribution. There is this user interface, there is that. That is why the latest in a long series of SuSE installer disappointments matters. An installed and configured SuSE is as good as any distribution in existence. Unfortunately, SuSE (and, now, its UnitedLinux partners) makes that difficult to the point of being impossible.
