At January's LinuxWorld trade show in New York, the biggest products were aimed at the server room, but there was evidence that Linux is spreading to the desktop. SuSE announced a SuSE Linux Office Desktop ($129), which can run certain Windows applications, including Microsoft Office 97 and 2000, Lotus Notes 5, and Intuit's Quicken 2002. It is essentially SuSE Linux 8.1 OS paired with CodeWeavers' CrossOver ($50), a retooled Win32 API.
