BSA Accuses OpenOffice Mirrors, Feb 28, 2003
A German university was accused by the BSA of pirating MS Office, because they mirrored OpenOffice.org. The scripts from the BSA only check for "Office" in the filename and then automatically send out notices to the ftp admins

Webmaster's note: It's totally unintentional, but today seems like BSA horror story day! Here's a second one about the dreaded BSA (and we're not talking about the Boy Scouts of America).
Ball figures he has saved $80,000 so far, and expects to save more because he won't have to pay for Microsoft upgrades.
