General Executives from Oracle, Dell and Red Hat are scheduled next week to launch what the companies dubbed "Unbreakable Linux" in an invitation they sent out to the press. Company representatives did not return calls for comment on the announcement, which is expected to take place Wednesday, June 5, at Oracle's Redwood Shores, California, headquarters.

At a Tokyo trade show today, IBM Corp. is planning to announce the sale of more than 75 Linux-based computer systems to U.S. agencies, including the Air Force, the Defense, Agriculture and Energy departments and the Federal Aviation Administration.
