The Free Software Foundation (FSF) issued a press release yesterday inaccurately stating that NuSphere Corporation, an independent operating company of Progress Software Corporation, "lost the right to distribute MySQL software due to a violation of the GNU General Public License (GPL)." According to Lorne Cooper, president of NuSphere Corporation, these statements are inaccurate and inappropriate, as the case has yet to be presented in court.
