- Supreme Court Zaps Microsoft, Oct 09, 2001

MicrosoftThe U.S. Supreme Court Tuesday rejected Microsoft Corp.'s request to overturn an earlier ruling that the software giant violated U.S. antitrust laws.

The high court declined without any comment or dissent to review the June 28 ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, which concluded that Microsoft had illegally maintained its monopoly over the market for personal computer operating systems.

Major motion picture studios including DreamWorks and Pixar are adopting Linux as their standard movie production workstation. In this article we will install XFree86 4.1.0, and upgrade our version of Linux to Debian Sid and kernel 2.4.7. We will also build and install the open-source accelerated ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon graphics card driver.
